Video: How to install the Uvex Genesis Rx Insert

Uvex Genesis safety glasses have been around for many years and become very popular for good reason. They’re high quality, comfortable and made in the USA. Another reason is they have an optional Rx insert available, that allows a person to install custom Rx lenses into the Uvex Genesis. The Genesis Rx Insert has also become very popular, because the cost savings are dramatic and the level of protection provided by the Uvex Genesis series is far greater then traditional prescription safety glasses with sideshields.

We’re often asked how to properly install these inserts as the process can be tricky if not awkward. So here’s a short video demonstrating how to properly install your Uvex Genesis Rx Insert.

When it comes to installing prescription inserts it doesn’t get any easier than the Revision Sawfly. Simply snap the insert onto the tab located above the Sawfly nose-piece and you’re done!

Here’s a short video demonstrating the installation process.

The installation may look basic, but thats a major advantage when in the field. Complex systems tend to break when subjected to the rigors of being in the field for extended periods of time or harsh environments. The Sawfly Rx Insert can be installed and removed quickly for cleaning and doesn’t require removal of the lens or the nose-piece like other military eyewear systems.

*Revision recommends the use of polycarbonate or other high-impact materials for your prescription lenses, so make it a point to tell your optometrist.
