It’s important to us here at SafetyGlassesUSA.com to not only share our safety glasses knowledge, but to share our safety glasses when vital safety departments and services need them most. We strive to empower our youth with as much safety expertise as possible, and were only thrilled to supply the Montour Area Fire Department, in Danville, PA, with fifty pairs of children’s safety glasses for their 2nd Annual Fire Safety Day Camp for kids this August!
Leslie Young, Co-chair of the day camp, along with the Montour Area Fire Department, organized an inspiring three-day camp educating kids on their local public service organizations, fire prevention awareness, and safety common sense – all while having fun! A whopping nine local fire departments participated in the event, bringing together several communities in sessions and hands-on activities on how their citizens can lead safe, fulfilling lives.
All proceeds raised throughout the three days of the camp went to a t-shirt and backpack for a graduation ceremony for the children, in addition to great prizes and treats for the kids. We’re so proud of Leslie Young and the Montour Area Fire Departments for putting together such a wonderful – and needed – day camp to help America’s youth lead the way to a safe future, and are only thankful we were able to help support this exemplary event.
