Comfortable. Looks good.
For most, that describes a favorite pair of jeans or shoes or maybe even a new vehicle. For Jason, “comfortable” and “looks good” describe Uvex Ignite safety glasses.
Jason, an engineer for an HVAC company, agreed to test the Uvex Ignite while performing routine tasks. After a couple weeks, he was thrilled with the eyewear. In fact, he found them to be much better than the generic pair he previously wore.
“[Uvex Ignite] fit better, are more comfortable, and they look better. The lenses are clearer, and it’s hard to tell that I’m even wearing safety glasses at all.”
Jason wore the Uvex Ignite with clear lenses, but they also come in gray or silver mirror lenses. Adding to the clarity, and probably a large part of what made Jason forget he was even wearing safety glasses, is the wrap-around, frameless style that gives excellent peripheral vision.
Of course, the polycarbonate lenses also block 99.9% of UVA/UVB rays because any good pair of safety eyewear does that these days. This means the Uvex Ignite work well for both indoor and outdoor protection.
The comfort comes from a combination of the close fit, adjustable nosepiece, and flexible, padded temples. The adjustment options allow for a comfortable and secure fit even for medium to large-sized heads.
Because they are comfortable, look good and provide clear vision, not only are the Uvex Ignite better than the safety eyewear Jason wore just previously…
“They are better than ones I have used any time previously.”
This comes from an active guy who’s spent a lot of time outdoors working and for recreation. High praise, to be sure.
Room for Improvement
Even though Jason likes the Uvex Ignite and plans to continue wearing them, he has one suggestion for improvement. The nosepiece is held in place by a small, metal part, and Jason feels this could be easily bent or broken. He would like a more stable material, perhaps rubber, instead.
Sure, wearing safety eyewear is required in most workplaces. It’s also simple common sense. Having a pair that is also comfortable and that you can forget you’re wearing is a definite bonus. The Uvex Ignite provides an inexpensive, basic pair of safety glasses that many, like Jason, will likely find as comfortable as their favorite pair of jeans.
